Our middle school and high school core classes are specifically designed to prepare students for the assignments and content they will encounter in the upcoming school year. Rather than solely focusing on fundamental skills, students will engage directly with hands-on, grade-appropriate material. This proactive approach ensures that students are thoroughly prepared, making their transition into the fall semester smoother and more successful.
Core Classes
Morning 9-12
Literary Analysis
Students will deeply engage with various short stories, analyzing key literary elements such as theme, character development, plot structure, and narrative style. They will master identifying and interpreting literary devices, understanding their purpose and impact, thus enhancing critical thinking and analytical reading skills essential for academic success.
Essay Writing
Our rigorous essay writing classes focus on sharpening students' ability to clearly articulate analytical and persuasive arguments. Students will write essays to explore literary analyses, persuasive arguments, and narrative expressions of their thoughts and insights. They will learn structured frameworks to effectively organize and convey complex ideas clearly and convincingly.
Fall Math Prep
Prepare effectively for the upcoming academic year with customized math instruction tailored to each student's registered courses. Students will engage intensively with the math topics they will encounter in the fall, reinforcing critical concepts and introducing advanced skills to ensure readiness and confidence in their upcoming math classes.
Test Prep Package
SAT/ACT/ISEE/SSAT
We have partnered with Test Innovators to offer premier online practice tests and skill-based drills specifically designed for SAT, ACT, ISEE, and SSAT preparation. This comprehensive package combines an interactive online program, accessible from home, with personalized in-center or online lessons led by our highly qualified teachers, ensuring robust and targeted test preparation. All online practice materials remain accessible for one full year, and private classes can be customized to meet each student’s unique needs, including flexible options in hours per month, subject focus, and duration.
