Core Classes
Morning 9-12
Our core classes comprehensively cover the foundational skills essential to academic excellence in reading, writing, and mathematics. The reading program integrates advanced vocabulary development alongside critical reading comprehension skills. In writing, students refine their grammar proficiency and learn structured techniques to excel in various essay forms. All math instruction is thoughtfully tailored to match each student’s specific academic requirements and readiness for the forthcoming school year, ensuring personalized attention for optimal progress.
Phonics
Build a strong foundation for reading success with our engaging phonics lessons. Through playful, interactive activities, students learn essential letter sounds, blending techniques, and early decoding skills, setting them on the path to confident, fluent reading in Kindergarten and beyond.
Reading
Our fun-filled reading activities introduce young students to storytime adventures designed to foster early comprehension skills. Children will practice understanding characters, sequencing simple events, and exploring new vocabulary, laying the groundwork for enthusiastic, capable readers.
Printing/Writing
Give your child the tools for early writing success through guided handwriting and basic writing activities. Students learn correct pencil grip, letter formation, and simple sentence creation, encouraging them to express their thoughts clearly and confidently as they begin their academic journey.
Math
Introduce your child to foundational math skills with engaging, hands-on activities tailored specifically for young learners. Children explore counting, basic addition and subtraction, shape recognition, and early problem-solving strategies, ensuring a smooth transition into Kindergarten math and beyond.
Afternoon Enrichment
12 PM - 3 or 5 PM
Extend your child’s day with enriching, structured afternoon activities designed to complement the morning’s academic core classes or to serve as an engaging standalone program. Students participate in stimulating activities such as creative art projects, reading sessions, movie time that sparks thoughtful discussion, and supervised outdoor experiences that foster an appreciation of nature and environmental awareness. Our nurturing environment ensures each afternoon is both enjoyable and educational, providing parents with the convenience and confidence of full-day, high-quality care.
Art
Students will enjoy a variety of engaging art projects designed to stimulate creativity and imagination. Each activity encourages self-expression, artistic exploration, and plenty of fun, ensuring an enriching experience every afternoon.
Fun Reading
Quiet reading sessions provide students the opportunity to delve into captivating books from our carefully curated in-center library or their personal favorites brought from home. Recommended reading lists and thoughtful daily group discussions enhance understanding, enjoyment, and critical thinking about the stories shared.
Movies
Relax and unwind with entertaining movies selected purely for enjoyment and relaxation. These sessions provide a fun break, allowing students to recharge and bond over shared cinematic experiences.
Outdoor Time
Students will spend refreshing outdoor time exploring nearby open spaces, including trips to Jeffrey Open Space, weather permitting. These supervised outings offer healthy physical activity, nature appreciation, and valuable social interaction in safe, scenic environments.
